KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A raid on a north side Kalamazoo home has resulted in the seizure of some serious and potentially lethal drugs, and two arrests.
Metro SWAT joined the KVET anti-drug squad in executing a search warrant at a home in the 1400 block of Princeton Ave. Citizen complaints about drug activity, violence and traffic in the area prompted the raid.
Capt. David Boysen says they found 35 grams of Fentanyl, that’s about 350 hits. They also seized an ounce of crystal meth and over a pound of marijuana.
They also seized two small loaded handguns, one that turned out to have been reported stolen.
A 29-year-old Benton Harbor man was arrested for possession, felony firearms and outstanding warrants. A 28-year-old Kalamazoo man was arrested for possession and outstanding warrants. A third will be charged later with drug counts.
