KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Plans made by the friends of Theresa Lockhart to search for her this weekend have reportedly been cancelled after the announcement by police that they are transitioning from a missing person’s case to a homicide investigation.
Portage Public Safety is now calling her husband, Christopher Lockhart, who has a history of domestic abuse and other minor crimes, a person of interest.
Portage Deputy Chief John Blue says Lockhart has been uncooperative, refusing to let them search their home and not acting like a husband should in this situation.
They say it was her principal who reported her missing, two days after her husband claims he was the last one to see her, as she left their house late on the night of May 18th.
Lockhart hasn’t been charged, and other than an initial contact, hasn’t reportedly been questioned, at least so far..
