HARTFORD (WKZO AM/FM) — It’s happened again. A man has been killed near Hartford walking down train tracks, wearing earbuds plugged into an Ipod.
The 55-year-old Hartford man was killed on impact near West Shepard at about 8:30 Wednesday morning. The Train crew told investigators that they tried to stop and were blowing the whistle, but he just never heard them coming.
His name has not been released.
Two years ago this week, a similar death occurred near Hartford, and in recent years there have also been headphone related deaths by train in Comstock and Oshtemo.
