KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — After a century as neighbors, WMU and Kalamazoo College are embarking on their first academic cross-venture.
Kalamazoo College students will gain access to the accelerated graduate degrees offered at Western by taking courses that qualify for the Bachelor’s degree at the private school, and a Masters at Western.
Presidents John Dunn and Jorge Gonzales signed the paperwork at ceremonies held on Tuesday.
It’s called a 4 plus 1 program and the first will be in Comparative Religion.
More subjects will added as faculty members work out which courses may count toward degree requirements.
