COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — A 53-year-old is recovering from a head injury and may face drunk driving charges after his pick-up smashed into a car parked in a drive way at 4 am Wednesday morning and then hit a home in Comstock Township.
Undersheriff Pali Matyas says the driver was heading down Abbey Street which ends at River Street and just kept right on going.
The driver was being treated for a head and neck injury when he was loaded into the ambulance.
They say location is everything in real estate, and the owner says this is the wrong location for a house because it’s been hit before.
The homeowner says not only did the truck rupture a gas line, but he has cracked plaster and a broken waterline flooded the basement.
Matyas says the homeowner may need a structural engineer to come out and fix the foundation, if it can be repaired.
