KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Deputies are looking for a gunman who shot up a GMC Yukon with two men and a child inside at Canterbury House apartments off Drake Road yesterday afternoon.
Kalamazoo County Investigators say the big SUV was pulling out of a parking spot on Butterfly Drive at 3:19 pm when the gunman walked up and opened fire.
He was either a bad shot or the bullets couldn’t penetrate the thick steel but no one inside was hit. The driver accelerated in an attempt to escape and instead smashed into other parked cars.
The gunman is described as a black male with a lighter complexion who was wearing dark clothing and a red baseball cap. A K-9 track was unsuccessful.
Deputies do not have a suspect identified at this time.
