LIBERTYVILLE, ILLINOIS (WKZO AM/FM) — An extradition hearing is scheduled for today for Brian Zanetti, who has been charged with the cold-blooded murder of Battle Creek businessman Frank Zanetti, who owned and operated a tile store in Urbandale.
Investigators believe that the younger Zanetti walked into the store on Michigan Avenue last Friday morning and shot the victim in the head at close range. The motive remains a mystery.
Zanetti could waive extradition and be shipped back to Michigan to face first degree murder charges in Calhoun County, or he could decide to fight extradition, which might delay his return to Michigan but would probably not prevent it.
