KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) –An independent analysis of the local police response to the alleged killing spree of Uber Driver Jason Dalton has been published by a Washington Police think tank.
Local agencies helped to underwrite the study by the Police Foundation.
The critical incident review basically complimented the three primary agencies involved in the Investigation, The County Sheriff’s Department, Public Safety and the State Police for their coordination, their bravery, dedication and professionalism.
They say their speedy arrest may have saved lives.
But like the NTSB analysis of the bicycle tragedy, they found fault with the separate dispatch operations, and went a step further to say their communication with the public was poor, and that the agencies should look into hiring a public information officer.
