ORIGINAL STORY:
KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM/FM) — Sheriff’s detectives in Kalamazoo County are investigating after fire officials found the body of a 40-year-old man inside a burned-out shed in the 11000 block of Portage Road near Schoolcraft Township.
Investigators say they know who the man is, but won’t release his name until family is notified. They don’t know how he ended up inside the shed, what killed him and what started the fire.
Lt. Jeff Baker said County Dispatchers got a 911 call about the fire at 8:27 p.m. Thursday. The body was found after the fire was put out.
An autopsy is planned.
