KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM/FM) — A suspect from Inkster is being held in the Kalamazoo County Jail after he was arrested for carjacking late Wednesday night.
Kalamazoo Public Safety said they got a report from a woman just before 11 p.m. that the male passenger in her car had assaulted her, forced her out and took the car. An alert citizen tipped them off the car and the suspect could be found in the 1000 block of Darwood Avenue in Kalamazoo Township.
The suspect is charged with carjacking, driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest and marijuana possession.
The woman has her car back.
