MARSHALL TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM/FM) — A teenager spent most of the weekend in the Calhoun County Jail after police say he walked into a home in the 15000 block of 16 1/2 Mile Road in Marshall Township, pulled out a gun and threatened to kill everyone inside.
Calhoun County Sheriff’s deputies claim the teenager forced his way into the house just before 2 a.m. They aren’t saying what set the child off, but he was supposedly no stranger to the occupants of the home.
He didn’t carry out any of his threats and fled the home before deputies arrived. The victims were able to give detectives a description of what happened, who the suspect was and the vehicle he was driving.
Police in Marshall spotted him on Hannover Street. The teen tossed the gun from the vehicle, but officers were able to recover it.
He is being held on home invasion, felonious assault charges and several firearm violations.
