KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A 29-year-old Kalamazoo man is recovering from a gunshot wound to the hip at Bronson Hospital, but refusing to tell Public Safety how or where he was wounded.
Police are called automatically whenever a gunshot victim appears at the hospital.
The driver who brought the victim to Emergency at 1 am left the hospital before officers arrived.
During the investigation into the shooting, Public Safety learned of a report of shots fired in the 4200 block of Lakesedge Drive at the Stadium Drive Apartments.
Officers found spent shells and a description of a car that matched the car that drove the man to the hospital. Public Safety detectives think the two are linked, and are asking for any information they can get from the public.
