PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — A couple has been hospitalized in Kalamazoo after their motorcycle rear ended a tractor-trailer on I-94 near 11-Mile Road in Calhoun County Tuesday afternoon.
It closed the interstate for over an hour and disrupted traffic longer than that.
Both the man and the woman were transported to Bronson Methodist for emergency treatment. ‘
The motorcyclist was transported by ambulance and his passenger was loaded on an Air-Care chopper for the ride to Kalamazoo. ‘
Their conditions have not been released.
Police say the motorcycle hit the back of the truck and then careened into a guardrail.
Both were wearing helmets.
