UNDATED (WKZO AM/FM) The area has seen a lot of rain and even a little snow in the last week, and that has resulted in some mild spring flooding.
The National Weather Service has issued advisories for parts of the Kalamazoo River, Portage Creek, The Thornapple River and the Grand.
Meteorologist T.J. Tornage says we have seen much worse in past years, and most of the flooding will occur where we expect it and in many areas that have been designed specifically to handle it.
He says the presumed drowning death of a man near Plainwell has demonstrated the fast moving water can still be a threat to life or limb, that must be respected.
He says most area water ways should crest over the next two days.
