BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM/FM) — Battle Creek police are looking for two armed robbers who held up a woman at gunpoint at the Omni Credit Union on Roosevelt Avenue just before 10 p.m. Saturday.
They forced her to take money out of her account.
Someone spotted the crime in progress and called 911. By the time officers were dispatched, and arrived at the ATM, the victim had left the bank. She told police the two robbers climbed into her car and forced her to drive to Gardenia Street near Hubert Street.
The two suspects got out and fled on foot. A tracking dog lost their scent at an apartment complex parking lot on Redner Avenue where the robbers may have had a getaway car waiting.
The tracking dog did find a few pieces of clothing that may have been discarded by the robbers who are described as two males, one tall, the other shorter and heavier.
