DETROIT (WKZO-AM/FM) — The Detroit man who was involved in the shooting of two police officers on Wednesday is now being called the prime suspect in the murder of Wayne State University Police Officer and Richland native Collin Rose.
They have charged Raymond Durham with two counts of assault with intent to murder, and other counts in connection with Wednesday shootings.
They claim to have a preliminary DNA match linking 60-year-old Raymond Durham to items belonging to Rose. At this stage,it only proces both men had contact at some time.
Detroit Police Chief James Craig said it’s a clue, but not proof. He said they have more work to do before they will be ready to charge Durham with that killing.
The two officers shot this week continue to recover, one undergoing multiple surgeries to repair a bullet wound to the neck.
