KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Kevin Stanfill has been bound over trial for murder after some shocking and brutal testimony during his preliminary hearing this week.
Prosecutors say Kevin was an abusive ex-con who got angry, walked his battered wife and mother of his children, out into a field in Northern Kalamazoo County last December and shot her to death.
Stanfill’s sister took the stand in a Kalamazoo Courtroom yesterday to testify that he cried about killing Kelly Ann Carl, and then her brother threatened to kill her too if she ever told anyone.
She would eventually lead police to her body.
A pathologist testified that the victim was shot four times at close range in the side of the head, and once in the neck. Soon after that testimony, Stanfill was bound over to stand trial.
A gofundme page has been set up to raise money for the support of their children.
