PARCHMENT (WKZO-AM/FM) — Schools in Parchment have declared a three-day weekend, but many of the students won’t enjoy it.
Officials say that’s because they have contracted the bug that has been going around and need a few days for the symptoms to go away. Last week, several other districts in Kalamazoo County, including Comstock, Gull Lake, Kalamazoo and Climax-Scotts took snow days to deal with viral infections.
The entire Parchment district, including the daycarem will be closed Friday. They plan to reopen Monday.
