CASS COUNTY (WKZO AM/FM) Deputies say alcohol and speed may have contributed to a wreck that killed a young man and a pre-schooler from Dowagiac just after 3:00 early Sunday Morning.
It appears that 21-year-old Jordan White was westbound on School Street in Silver Creek Township when his vehicle went out of control, crossed the oncoming lane, left the pavement and struck several trees.
White and 4-year-old Wyatt Lister were pronounced dead at the scene.
The young boy’s mother, 20-year-old Allison Hurry was airlifted to South Bend Memorial for treatment of her injuries. Deputies say none of the three were wearing their seat belts. ‘
