KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — The Kalamazoo Community Golf Show gets underway this Saturday.
Golf has been suffering from sagging popularity in recent years. Organizer Joel Pinkham said he’s hoping this event will get people excited to hit the links again.
“A lot of the guys from the different golf courses in the area will be at Wings Stadium handing our vouchers and freebees,” Pinkham said. “It’s kind of a meet-and-greet.”
And the game’s newest equipment innovations will be on display.
“We’re going to bring at least one of everything that’s brand new for 2017,” Pinkham said.
It starts at 9 a.m. Admission is free.
