KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Sheriff’s detectives in Kalamazoo County are still looking for the tractor-trailer driver who killed a Battle Creek man in a hit-and-run along Interstate 94.
Sheriff Rick Fuller said investigators remain hopeful they will find the driver who struck 49-year-old Todd Hodgkinson near Galesburg on Jan. 27.
“Somebody is going to see this truck and we’re convinced somebody’s going to say, ‘Man, that’s a paint transfer on that truck,’ or ‘There’s damage on that truck that wasn’t there,’” Fuller said.
But also says leads remain limited.
“If you know this truck driver, if you know the truck, if you know the company — give us a call,” Fuller said. “We know somebody’s sitting there with a piece of information.”
Hodgkinson was helping refuel his friend’s minivan alongside the freeway when he was hit. The impact threw his body 100 yards.
