KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Police say a driver suffered minor injuries after a smashing a Kalamazoo Public Schools bus into a utility pole early Monday.
It happened before 9 a.m. on Whites Road.
Two buses, which had reportedly just dropped off children at Woods Lake Elementary, were involved in the incident. One suffered minor damage, while the other, which struck the pole after swerving around another vehicle, suffered major damage to its front end.
Kalamazoo Public Safety says the other driver was not hurt and neither bus had children on board.
The wreck resulted in traffic lights at Whites Road and Bronson Boulevard going dark.
