KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A 25-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man are jailed after Kalamazoo Public Safety says they made a false report of a gunpoint robbery.
It happened after 10 p.m. Thursday.
The man first made the claim after he walked into Bronson Methodist Hospital with a gunshot wound to his shoulder. The woman corroborated the story while officers were processing the scene of the shooting in the 1800 block of Bushouse Court.
However, the police investigation determined no robbery occurred.
Both were arrested for falsely reporting a felony. The woman picked up an additional charge of reckless discharge of a firearm.
