KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A Kalamazoo parolee is back in Jail after a hit and run at the corner of Jackson and Mills Street that may have been caused by slippery pavement.
In fact the suspect may have fled the scene because of their legal status.
They were tracked to an address in the 1000 block of Garden Street in Kalamazoo.
The 37-year old initially refused to come out of the home, and officers had to obtain a warrant to enter the place and make the arrest.
The driver was arrested for violating parole and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
There were no injuries. A citation for the crash itself could still be issued pending the outcome of the investigation.
