PINE GROVE TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — Sheriff’s deputies in Van Buren County say a 25-year-old woman was nearly three times over the legal drinking limit when she wrecked her car in Pine Grove Township.
The wreck happened at around 6 p.m. Wednesday in the 6000 block of M-40, according to a press release.
Investigators say her vehicle went off the right side of the highway, stuck a culvert and went airborne before it settled near an embankment.
Sheriff’s deputies say yhe driver failed all field sobriety tests and open alcohol containers were found inside her vehicle.
She was jailed for operating while intoxicated. If found guilty, it would be her second offense.
Her name was not released.
