BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO-AM) — A fight over an onion has landed a father and son in jail.
The altercation Sunday required intervention from the Battle Creek Police Department, the Battle Creek Enquirer reports. The 29-year-old son told investigators his 59-year-old father would sell food stamps for drugs. Then, when the father was hungry, he would eat the son’s food.
The son told investigators it wasn’t their first disagreement over the issue. The father claims the son began the assault.
Both the father and son live together.
There weren’t any serious injuries in the scuffle and neither man wanted to file charges, but police took them both to jail anyway.
