KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — The man depicted in the surveillance camera noticed that his picture was out there and the Van Buren County resident has apparently contacted Public Safety directly to tell them his story. They still plan to submit it to the prosecutor for a review to see if any charge is warranted.
ORIGINAL STORY:
KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety needs your help to identify a man who walked into the the Jimmy Johns on Stadium Drive on January 13th, fired a gun in the rest room, and then walked out.
They are assuming it was an accident, but they are calling it the reckless discharge of a firearm, and they want to identify and talk to the man.
They are releasing a surveillance photo hoping someone will recognize the white male who is around 40, who was wearing jeans, a camo jacket, wore a winter hat over a shaved head and had a beard.
He weighs about 300 lbs and walked with a cane. Anyone with information is asked to call Public Safety.
