KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Another gun has been taken off the streets of Kalamazoo, thanks to an observant citizen who called 911 about a man with a gun in an apartment complex parking lot in the 4000 block of Michigan Avenue Wednesday afternoon.
The call came in before 3 p.m. The man got into a car and left. After Kalamazoo Public Safety arrived, the man with the gun returned with two others. The three were contacted and all three were arrested.
The 19-year-old in the front seat had a nine-millimeter Beretta.
The driver matched the description of a man involved in a shots-fired complaint last November and one of the officers got a confession from the 20-year-old that he was involved.
The third occupant of the car was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
