KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety says a 52-year-old man is jailed on attempted homicide, false imprisonment and domestic assault charges after allegedly attacking a former girlfriend with a knife.
Investigators say the victim was giving the suspect a ride when the assault occurred Sunday. They also say he refused to let the victim seek medical attention for a time after the altercation.
He was let out of the car a few blocks from a Kalamazoo hospital and was later arrested without incident at a home in the Edison Neighborhood.
The woman’s current condition was not disclosed.
