KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — The Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team put a drug house in the 700 block of Hawley Street on the city’s north side out of business yesterday, following numerous complaints about drugs and violence from neighbors.
With the assistance of the Metro SWAT Team, they executed a search warrant at the home. they found three adults inside the building.
They also found two handguns stationed at the front door of the home and a couple of shotguns, one of which had been stolen earlier this year in Battle Creek.
They also seized ammo, crack, powdered cocaine and a large amount of cash from the home
Two occupants were taken into custody on a variety of gun and drug crimes and booked into the county jail pending a formal review of the case by the prosecutor and a bail hearing before a judge.
