YANKEE SPRINGS TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — A 19-year old has been killed in a single vehicle crash in Barry County early Thursday morning on Shaw Lake Road near Bender in Yankee Springs Township.
Deputies say it appears his car went out of control headed west just after midnight.
They say from the evidence the car left the road way, the driver may have over corrected sending the car back across both lanes and down an embankment where it rolled over.
They say it appears the victim may have been thrown from the car. He was not wearing a seat belt and his body was found outside the vehicle on the ground.
He was dead at the scene.
Barry County Deputies are investigating but they don’t believe alcohol was a factor.
