ARLINGTON, TEXAS (WKZO-AM) — The Detroit Lions can clinch a playoff berth if they beat the Dallas Cowboys tonight on the road, and they have just learned that their divisional title game next week will also be in prime time.
The Lions are seeking their first divisional championship since 1993, and will have to beat the Green Bay Packers at Ford Field on NBC Sunday night at 8:30 to do it.
This marks the second time in three years the division title has been between the Lions and Green Bay.
Next Sunday’s game had been scheduled for 1 p.m., but was moved over the weekend by the NFL.
Tonight when the Cowboys and the Lions clash in Dallas, the WMU Football Broncos will be in the stands at AT&T Stadium in time for the kickoff.
Head Coach PJ Fleck says he hopes it will introduce the team to “Jerry’s World” in a way they might not get a chance to see otherwise in preparation for the Cotton Bowl in a week when they square off against Wisconsin in their own nationally televised game in that Stadium.
