ALLEGAN COUNTY (WKZO-AM) — Foul play is being ruled out in the death of a woman found partially buried in the snow Sunday at a playground at the Shangri-La Mobile Home Park outside of Saugatuck.
Allegan County Sheriff’s detectives say her body was found by children and a subsequent autopsy revealed that she died from hypothermia. They say 40-year-old Jamie Jon Dollar had been dead for some time but, because of the cold, can’t say exactly how long her body had gone undiscovered.
She would have turned 41 next week.
Toxicology tests are being conducted to determine if intoxicants might have contributed to her death. The case will remain open until those results are returned but no further investigation is anticipated.
