KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A local man wanted on an outstanding warrant who was reportedly seen brandishing a rifle on Kalamazoo’s north side is jailed after police say he was found in possession of drugs and stolen firearms.
The guns, controlled substances and the 20-year-old were found inside a vehicle in the 500 block of Horace Avenue late Tuesday. Both guns were stolen out of Kalamazoo County, according to a press release.
Emergency dispatchers started receiving calls about the man after he was spotted with the rifle near North Westnedge Avenue and Ada Street at around 8:30 p.m.
