BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — A man who allegedly fired a gun during a road rage incident along Interstate 94 is sitting in the Calhoun County Jail.
Battle Creek police aren’t saying what touched off the confrontation but they say it turned violent when both cars pulled off the Interstate at the Beckley Road exit near Capital Avenue. That’s where the gun was fired, both cars took off after each other until they spotted the patrol car and both contacted the officer, apparently to complain about the other driver.
A 41-year-old Battle Creek resident was arrested for unlawful discharge of a firearm and the police file is being sent to the prosecutor’s office for their review.
