DETROIT (WKZO-AM) — Thursday was a day of salutes, honors and eulogies for slain Wayne State University police officer Collin Rose of Richland.
An estimated 1,200 police officers from all over the United States turned out for his funeral at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in St. Clair Shores.
That’s where his chief, Tony Holt, says the death of the 29-year-old who was difficult to apprehend and accept.
State Sen. Margaret O’Brien, R-Portage, also read a eulogy in the well of the Michigan State Senate.
Gov. Rick Snyder also ordered that all flags on state property be lowered to half-staff to honor the 29-year-old Gull Lake High School graduate. Burial took place in Clinton Township.
A memorial mass at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Augusta is set for 11 a.m. Friday.
