NILES TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — The Berrien County Sheriff’s Office says a 49-year-old man is dead after reportedly catching fire at a Niles Township mobile home park.
The victim was found smoldering on the ground when authorities arrived at the Birchcrest Estates on East Main Street late Tuesday. They were called there on a report of a man on fire.
He died Wednesday after being flown to a hospital in Chicago. He was initially taken to a hospital in South Bend, Ind.
His name hasn’t been released.
