LAGRANGE TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — A police dog is being credited for finding a fugitive accused of domestic violence in Cass County.
In this case, it was a swampy wooded area in LaGrange Township. The wanted fugitive had just allegedly assaulted a woman, sending her to the hospital.
Faust and handler Dave Nevins tracked the wanted person down.
The dog tracked the suspect for an hour over rough terrain for 1.7 miles and flushed the 31-year-old suspect from Cassopolis out of thick underbrush.
He was arrested for domestic violence and booked into the Cass County Jail.
