KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Bronson Healthcare is offering a warning to the public that someone is posing as a hospital employee recruiter, preying on people who have posted their resume’s online.
The scammers are apparently phishing for personal data, trying to trick victims into giving them their social security numbers and financial information.
The victims have been contacted by email, texting and online interviews.
Bronson spokesperson Carolyn Wyllie says Bronson’s Human Resources Department only contacts job seekers who have contacted them first, either through their careers website or applicants who attended a career fair.
They do not do online interview, or send text messages.
They however would like to hear from anyone who thinks they may have been contacted by the scammers.
