KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — There are reports of groups organizing “Love Trumps Hate” rallies in Kalamazoo this week, and while there may not be a lot of love at those events for the President Elect, there’s isn’t much love coming in the opposite direction.
Trump supporters like GOP State Party Chief Ronna Romney-McDaniel and Congressman Bill Huizenga have been dismissive of the protestors, questioning their motives, suggesting they “get over it” and they are just going through the five stages of grief.
WWMT-TV reports a customer at TGI Fridays in Kalamazoo left a racist and obscenity-filled note to a waitperson and signed with a pro-Trump message.
A gay couple in Bay City got a note in their mailbox telling them to get out of the community. It included a backwards swastika and included that it was from “Trump Country.” Another gay couple in Okemos had a derogatory comment left by someone with a Sharpie on their front door.
