KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A sewage overflow due to a blocked main is being blamed for the release of 450 gallons of raw sewage Saturday afternoon, which came gushing up through a manhole in the 1700 West North Street in the Fairmont Neighborhood.
It was reported at about 4 p.m. and a blockage was removed late Saturday night.
Public services personel beleive someone stuffed the main with sticks and other debris, causing the blockage.
The area has been remediated and all the proper agencies notified.
