KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Pastors, rabbis and clergy of all faiths gathered in Bronson Park on Thursday to call for the community to remain united, no matter what happens at the polls on Tuesday, and despite the talk by some of civil unrest if the voting doesn’t go as they had hoped.
Their message to the community says right now the nation is deeply divided and therefore we find that this call to mutual respect, support and communal peace is very timely.
Rev. Dr. Randall Warren said they are planning an interfaith worship service on the day after the election to listen to music, enjoy readings and encourage a commitment to the shared values that make Kalamazoo the place it is.
The service will be held at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 9, the day after next Tuesday’s election.
