KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — An Edwardsburg man had to be taken to a hospital in Niles after he fell asleep behind the wheel and struck another vehicle in Milton Township late Saturday.
It happened after 9:30 p.m. Sheriff’s deputies in Cass County say 30-year-old Daniel Ditson was traveling southbound on Fir Road when he strayed over the centerline and collided into a northbound vehicle driven by 64-year-old Robert Eberhart from Granger, Ind.
Investigators say alcohol was a factor in the wreck. Seat belts were in use, according to a press release.
