KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A Kalamazoo Public Safety officer on patrol, who could smell marijuana smoke coming from another car, initiated a traffic stop and made a major drug bust.
The two cars were waiting at the light at Patterson and Westnedge before 2:30 p.m. Friday when the odor became apparent and the officer initiated a traffic stop a few blocks down the street.
A search of the car turned up heroin, marijuana and crystal methamphetamine. Officers also found a digital scale.
The two males in the front seat, a 32-year-old driver and the 22-year-old passenger, were arrested for possession with intent to deliver the three drugs.
The passenger was also booked into the County Jail for three outstanding warrants.
