BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — A 24-year-old is in critical condition after police in Battle Creek say he accidentally shot himself in the head early Thursday.
Investigators say he was with friends on West Fountain Street when the handgun he was handling discharged before 4 a.m.
He was rushed to a hospital by private vehicle. The gun has been located and confiscated, according to a press release.
