BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — Investigators in Battle Creek are trying to figure out what sparked an early Thursday blaze that caused $25,000 damage at a residence on Park Place.
Just over 20 firefighters were called to the single-family home before 1:30 a.m. and, after initially checking and failing to find fire in the attic, discovered flames in a small room below the ground floor.
There were no injuries reported.
The fire caused $15,000 property damage and $10,000 contents damage, according to a press release.
