PORTAGE (WKZO-AM) — Authorities have not yet indicated what they plan to do with a 15-year-old student at Portage Northern High School who was overheard making threats of violence targeting others at the school.
Students and a staff member heard the threats and notified the school resource officer, who immediately isolated the student and removed him from school property Thursday.
A subsequent investigation determined the teen was not armed and there was no actual danger to anyone.
The news release from Portage Public Safety does not indicate the student was arrested and whether charges will be sought, or whether the school plans any form of discipline.
