AKRON, OHIO (WKZO-AM) The dream season continues for the WMU Broncos as they traveled to InfoCision Stadium in Akron Ohio and blanked the Zips 41 to 0.
WMU is now ranked 20th in both the AP Poll and the AMWAY Coaches Poll.
The Bronco defense prevented Akron from getting a first down until after they already had a three touchdown lead.
Jarvion Franklin had his best day yet as a Bronco, rushing for 281 yards for two touchdowns.
Corey Davis also scored a pair of TD’s against the MAC Eastern Division leader.
It was the first shut-out for the Broncos in a decade. They are now 7-0 overall and 3-0 in conference play.
Their next game is at home in Waldo Stadium this Saturday at 3:30 p.m. against the Eastern Michigan University Eagles.
