TEXAS TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — Call it a case of “trail rage,” but Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s deputies have received several complaints about a man who angrily confronts people walking dogs along the Al Sabo Trail near the Kalamazoo Valley Community College campus in Texas Township.
Undersheriff Pauli Matyas said his motive remains a mystery.
“I don’t know what his problem is, I don’t think anybody does, he just goes off on people with dogs,” Matyas said.
During one confrontation, Matyas said the suspect allegedly pepper sprayed a pooch, making him guilty of cruelty to an animal.
“Just being angry at people isn’t a crime, depending on how you play it out,” Matyas said.
He is described as a male in his 20s with short dark hair.
Matyas said they would love to find the guy and ask him what exactly what he is thinking.
