KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A preliminary hearing for two former Western Michigan University football players has been delayed.
The hearing for Ronald George and Bryson White had been set for Monday, but was rescheduled to Oct. 28.
The routine hearing is held to give the district judge a look at the prosecution’s case to determine if the charges should be dismissed, modified or sent to circuit court for trial.
The two athletes are charged with using a gun and a knife to rob a woman at an apartment on California Avenue in August.
Both were dismissed from the team soon after.
George and White face charges of home invasion, armed robbery and larceny from a building. Both could get a life sentence in prison if both are convicted on the most-serious charge.
